Finally - a review[er] that gets it!
Hopefully it will open a few eyes and minds to the wheel size.

It does mention the 'fork issue'...just as the last 650bpalace posting highlights.
Personally, I hope the new X-fusion Velvet is a homerun and leaves the big manufactures playing catch-up.

Speaking of 650bpalace - CH, if your outer there lurking, you're missed.
(has anyone else noticed KP is MIA also?)

I emailed CH and he said that he had to re-prioritize a bit for a while but that the Palace will be back and active again sometime in the not too distant future.

Any news on any other new tires? :winker:
I like the quote on page 13 from the same mag better...

"The 650B is the answer to the question nobody asked. It's like bacon. No one remembers asking for a salty meat product made mostly of lard and the lips of a pig's anus, but here we are." Soulcraft's Sean Walling on the future of 650B.

I'll add that I like bacon, a lot.
If Mr Walling has continued to eat bacon under his misconception, I am unsure as to compliment or ridicule him. Bacon does contain fat but none of the other parts mentioned. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacon. Hopefully Velvet will make a great 650B fork and other tire manufacturers will step us well.
He's thinking of hotdogs, I suspect. (and acting like a wiener!)

Fwiw, Sean is pro-650b. He's built 4 or 5 "Option-B" frames now... He's just havin' fun.

Cheers,

KP
Glad to hear it! (I hope that his humor comes through in the magazine quote) I haven' t read that issue yet but it's going on the top of the pile now...
To quote Vince Vega in Pulp Fiction:
"Bacon is good."
Good to see the review. I get the fraternal twins MBM and Bicycling Magazine free with IMBA membership. MBM has had some great technical articles in the last year. Something has changed much for the better there.

Why hasn't White fixed the sticky fork action in all these years? Maybe a coil version isn't so bad.
