Hey guys,
Our second work day for the fourth phase of the Itusi Trail will be January 24th. We have heard from riders who want to lay out more technical trail so here is your chance. This Phase will be built under a revised MOA which will allow us to build to IMBA blue standards with a reduced corridor width of 3 feet. We will also be able to incorporate more of the naturally occurring obstacles as well.

We are concentrating on the roughly 3.25 mile section that can be connected by the fire road. This will allow us to be riding this section of the trail while working on the second portion of the trail. There are a couple of nice sized ravines and the routing is definitively tighter on this section. Hopefully some of the folks that have been asking for more technical features will come out and help make it happen.

-9:00 AM Saturday 1/24
-Tools provided
-Bring water/snacks
-Wear sturdy boots and work gloves
-Bring your bike if you want to ride after working.
-Go left on Wildlife Rd. (last road before entering the park), take your first right through a park gate (probably not more than 100 feet after turning), follow the signs.
-Parking will be along the side of the fire road which is nice and smooth.

Here is what we will be working on:

-Approximately .75 mile of trail has been machine cut and just need finishing. We will remove roots, de-berming, cut the back slope if needed, groom the trail and then cover the machine cut with leaf debris to protect the tread. There are also a few debris piles to disburse. When this work is complete, this section will be ride-ready!

If we get a good turn out, we should have close to 2 miles of finished trail!
