Joel...

Too much time on your hands, man. But some great suggestions.

I like Tacit Approval.

Chris has busted his rear for years to get this trail built. You know my vote

Oh, Joel.... 13th and White, strong work.

Aww, shucks.
Congrats to all involved. Good work my friends at COPMOBA.

It is nice to hear that all that work is finally coming to fruition. I cannot wait to ride the new trail next time I make it back down from Steamboat.

I second the name: Mr. Pipkins Wild Ride.

My vote is for "Your Mom".

"So what did you ride today?"
Rock on. This is a great break through. I'm looking forward to Christmas break.
It's looking sweet!

Just got back from flagging the final route with Greg, Mike, and James. This is going to be a really sweet trail, we even found some sweet stuff tonight that nobody had seen yet. This is going to be one of the most flowy and most technical trails in the valley, no doubt. It will also feature the largest "moves" BY FAR. A future destination is in the making. I hope you can all find time to come help out, even if it's only for a few hours. Anything will help, and I'm optimistic we'll be riding this trail before turkey day. You better go get yourself a good, STRONG, 6 or 7 inch pedalable bike, cause your gonna need it. More updates to come! Hopefully I'll get some pictures up tomorrow. ROCK.

Are you excited? You should be.

Construction HAS BEGUN. Yes, you're reading that correctly. Here are a couple sneak peaks of one really cool feature.

A feature that has not realized it's full potential yet.....

The LZ is starting to take shape. Pinners will land on the big rocks closest to the camera, creepers can just roll off. Sweet. About half done in this pic, yeah that's a lot of rocks.

The best way you can help is to come out on the volunteer work day that is scheduled for September 29. That is a Saturday, and i know a lot of you work in bike shops, but I'm sure your employers will understand that this really is just as important of a place to be on that saturday. C'mon people, show the love. Come out and help!

volunteers welcome?

Speedy monkey hand: Can anyone join the work crew. In the past it has been hinted that some of those that have different thoughts might not be welcome volunteers on trail work days.

Please get away from naming trails based on those who helped- a lot of individuals help.
Be creative, what does the trail represent? How does it feel? What are its characteristics?
Just another popular thought from BRs

Cheerio lads

Anyone is welcome

Don't let your past experiences dictate your involvement with this project. We (me especially) really want you and anyone interested to be part of it. I know there have been "clashes" of minds in the past on other projects, but I don't think that's going to happen again, and I really hope it doesn't keep you or anyone from joining in the construction of this cutting edge public trail.

Besides...you like burgers and beers right? :D

On another note: Anyone with questions pertaining to the Volunteer work day can email Chris Herrman at COPMOBA : [email protected]

MORE INFO TO COME SOON......
Progress Report

This thing is moving along at warp speed! We're gonna have a rideable trail before we know it. Today's construction was concentrated one of the slower, but gnarliest sections in the trail. Some pretty big drops, super techy exposed rock moves and lots of bench cut was on the menu. It's gonna be a gem when it's done.....which is good because we'll settle for nothing less. I'm getting giddy already, but we have to finish building it first and get signs up, THEN we'll get to ride it, and oh what a glorious day that will be. It's flowy and fairly fast on the top 2/3 with good corners, jumps and flow. The bottom 1/3 is pure Lunch Loop nasty! Like Holy Cross, but downhill, and on some serious steroids. My camera battery died, so I'll post a couple more pics tomorrow if I get a chance. MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN MAKING THIS HAPPEN, especially the Chris's. Chris Pipkin, Chris Herrman, Chris Muhr. ...THANK YOU!
Name Suggestion

James came up with this....on accident. I think it's brilliant:

Edge Of Extinction

This name fits for a whole list of reasons. Untill I hear a better one....this one has my vote.

Edge Of Extinction???

I don't know some might think Troy built it... I do like BR thought process. "what does the trail represent? How does it feel? What are its characteristics?"
Any ways keep up the good and hard work and we will see you out there on the 29th...

P.S. My mechanic ant worth S*#!& this last week...
How are we gonna get 'Edge of Extinction' to fit on one of those little plastic fence posts? :)

Gunny Sack is pretty durn funny, I don't know if it has that timeless quality though. Tacit Approval is still my favorite.
