thought some of you might be interested. 1959 cinelli,campy gran sport,everything came out of the original boxes.built for a customer as a tribute to a bike his brother had as a young man.

the frame was painted and chromed at D&D,it wasnt in that great of condition.my hands were shaking as i opened some of the boxes.the hardest part to find was the seatpost binder bolt,cinelli had a proprietary bolt.

If it wasn't a road bike...it'd be beautiful.

Reminds me of my high school woodshop teacher, "Smoother than new born baby's buttocks and shining like a diamond in a goat's ass." (those were the days when a teacher could say that without parents getting their undies bundled).

It really is an impressive machine.

i wasnt sure how they wrapped bars back in the day,so i did it like we would today.turns out i shoulda started at the top and tucked it at the bottom.i built the bike, but the pic of the inside of the chainrings had me scratching my head saying"i didnt put 2 chains on",dang that thing is shiny:D big ups to veloculture for posting the pics for my non tech savy @ss:thumbsup:

This bike was built as close as possible to the original sales record at CBS. Thanks Hollister for the great build.
i work in an industry that is mainly focused on the latest cabon fiber doodad,all about tech specs and shaving grams.it was truly a pleasure to rebuild that bike.your brother said that you were to be the only one allowed to ride it,did you take it for a ride?how was it?

p.s im restoring a 59 galaxy 500 ill send you some pics.

Truely a wonderful bike. Understated class all the way.

I think Hollister has done some work on my bikes in the past. He's ok I guess. ;)

66 Mustang GT Fastback owner here too. Old Fords are great!
