Even with the Big Hit kit installed the shock will go metal to metal when fully compressed. The bumper is designed such that it compresses into the endcap of the shock as to no limit the amount of travel that you get.How can you tell if the Pushed Shock has the big hit installed? How could I check? When I compress the shock all the way with no air in it and attached to the bike I feel a "metal to metal" contact and no "bumper" like I was expecting?
Wait! Why did you let the air out of a Pushed shock?BBW said:![]()

Darren thanks for posting here (amazing, you should be doing something else that "working" on a Sunday night:thumbsup: )PUSHIND said:BBW,
Have you ridden the bike yet? Just curious if you have bottoming concerns with that new setup that the guys built.

I dunno? curiositystevo5 said:Wait! Why did you let the air out of a Pushed shock?
?
my guess is around 28-30 depending on tires and if I'm using the GD or a thompson seatpost.. nothing crazy lightstevo5 said:Very similar to my 09 Spot give or take a few things! Nice rig! What does it weigh?
So what does the big hit kit do?PUSHIND said:Even with the Big Hit kit installed the shock will go metal to metal when fully compressed. The bumper is designed such that it compresses into the endcap of the shock as to no limit the amount of travel that you get.

The derailleur position should not change between a 3 ring or two ring + bash setup (other than the outer limit screw), but the chain should be shorter without the big ring, which would certainly reduce chain slap.BBW said:Also the Bash guard for some strange reason its making the drivetrain (chain slap) very quiet!!! maybe due to the derrailleur position just to go to 2 rings instead of 3???
I didn't shorten the chain so no idea there... if you want to jump to TX, you can try mine:thumbsup:miles e said:The derailleur position should not change between a 3 ring or two ring + bash setup (other than the outer limit screw), but the chain should be shorter without the big ring, which would certainly reduce chain slap.
Nice looking bike, glad to hear you're liking it. Hoping to ride an '11 Spot at some point to see how it compares to my '09.![]()
