As though mtb tire prices has gone up a bit in the past year or so , is this because of gas/oil price skyrocketed ?
Or am I just plum crazy LMAO .

I don't think you're plum crazy...perhaps peach crazy.

Hasn't the cost of everything gone up in the same timeframe? I do seem to pay more for tires now than a year ago, but there are few consumables today about which I can't say that.

well, the Chinese have a virtual monopoly on the manufacturing...monopolies aren't good for prices.

Environmental issues such as the massive flooding in Vietnam (where a major chunk of latex comes from) reduced the supply this past season, that effect is now rippling through.
