so i'm thinking of going with a r seven platinum. i see that it's post mount instead of iso. is there any way i could get an adapter to put my '03 xtr caliper on it? Thanks

yes, but you will need to increase your rotor size a bit, if you are running a 160mm rotor...

for that case shimano makes a 170mm and 203mm IS-to-PM adapter and rotor

the only way around it is buying a postmount caliper then.... (170 is a minimal increase, but still a bit more weight)
