I have an FSA Maximus ISIS crank on my dirtbag.
It's setup as a single, 36tooth chain ring with a bashguard and chain guide.
When I got it, I had to grind the small chainring mounting bolts off of the crank to get the crank to clear the chain guid.
I also have a new in box Maximus crankset.
I want to put a granny gear on the bike so I can climb with teh bike rather than pushing it uphill. Can I have a Howitzer BB installed in the frame so I can use the Maxiumus with a small chainring and something like a E-13 DRS chainguide? I figure th Howitzer would push the crank out enough so that a small chainring would clear the ICSG tab. Or is it absolutly necessary to run a Howitzer specific crank with teh Howitzer BB?
