Looking for a chainguide for 22/32 set up with ISCG mounts (Bighit). Must be inexpensive, therefore used. Absolutely any ideas are welcome as I know nothin' about chainguides

Why must it be ISCG?? Because you can run a Hein Guide under the BB cup and it works with any ring combo. Check'em out Heim Guide. It's cheap and it works.

Yeah I know that's why I posted this picture... it's the exact setup your describing. Plus your not buying anything you don't need. All the other guides will come with a bashguard and the guide, so your spending money you don't need too. It was just a suggestion.

Ok, that's cool. But from my understanding , it is working only on the biggest ring. Am I correct?

The e.13 guide will work on that combo. That's exactly what I am running. The bashring will fit up to 36T. I got mine new from www.aebike.com for $106.

Not really. It depends on the angle you set the guide at, just like with all chainguides. I speak from experience it works.

well with that stupid heim guide at like 75 bucks you mideswell get like a real guide like the e.13 drs. then you get the sweet bashgaurd.

Why spend the extra $50.00 for a bashguard when he already has one? That's just dumb. And since you've never used the Heim, you really can't say it's stupid can you? I admit it doesn't have the cool factor of say the E13, but the point is it gets the job done and it's cheaper for what he needs.

Bend easy??? Son, have you ever used or even seen this guide for yourself first hand? Didn't think so!!! So stop talking out of your @ss. I guess it's easy for you to say go E13, when your parents are paying for your parts and you can afford to waste $ buying items with parts you don't need. But in the real world were people have to work for their money, it's usually better not to waste it on useless items you don't need.

E13, LRP, Blackspire Dualie and the Heim will all get the job done, plain and simple. Not one of them works any better functionally speaking than the other. Just depends on what you want to pay for, flash or function. So buy what you want or can afford, based on the options you have and your needs. If you have the money to spend on the E13 and don't care about spending extra on parts you don't really need then go for it. My post was to point you to a cheaper option, since $ was an issue, that's it. Good luck.

ISCG tabs problem.

The Heim Guide might work fine, but there might be a problem actually mounting it. I dont know what the back of the Heim guide arm looks like, but i am assuming that its similar to a MRP LRP guide. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong) The arm has an L shape (looking at it on profile) for stiffness. This L-shape and any machining on the back will likely not fit around the ISCG tabs on the BB. I ran into this problem trying to mount a LRP-style guide on my ISCG compatable BB.

Nope no problem. I have ISCG tabs on my 03 Big Hit and it fits fine. Jon Heim was actually smart enough to take the ISCG tabs into consideration. It's designed to work on most any frame. The only problem with the Heim it seems, is that it doesn't have "cool" factor.

hey red5 nice review of the heim guide. my buddy lee at leelikesbikes.com says the same good things about it. i like how you beat down reply after reply with logic. lucky13 the heim guide is simple yet solid and its the only guide with 3 ring capability (meaning it can be swapped over to the xc bike for gnarl trail missions). i am going to try one on my 01 kona stab, which drops chains on bigger drops in two-ring configuration.
