I recently cracked my rear triangle on my '06 MK3 Comp. My LBS took care of getting the replacement rear end from IH and installing it. I picked it up the other day and noticed that on the upper pivots the bearing caps were not sitting flush like they used to. There's a small gap on each side and I'm almost positive it wasn't like that before. It's maybe a 1/8th of an inch, maybe less. The bolts are tight so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Here's some pics that will hopefully help with my description

my main concern is moisture and dirt getting in there, I live in the north east and ride in wet muddy conditions quite a bit.

Am I just being anal or should I take this back to my LBS and ask them to fix it?
