small size TREK8000 aluminum ROAD BIKE
Found this Trek 8000 on craigslist and would appreciate any opinions. Has it been altered or was this one an off year? Doing a little research, it is my understanding that the Trek 800 is a mountain bike and has Judy forks. This is advertised as a road bike and handle bars are such but frame does look thick like a mb. Should I stay clear?

Yep, it's either a 1989 or 1990 model that's had dropbars put on it.

That frame looks like it's a extra large size too, it's definitely not small.
