Why do you have the cup/cone washers set up that way? Aren't they supposed to be set up above and below the caliper? Is there an advantage to this that I do not know about?

It is not proper, because Avid brakes are not meant to be mounted with all of the cup/cone washers under the caliper. If that is what it takes to get you riding then thats great, at least you are out on the trails. I am sure not going to buy a hub and disk brake adapter that I then have to improperly mount my brake caliper to. Surely this is not how White Industries meant for this to work.

Are you running a rotor that is one size larger than that disk brake adapter is meant for? If you reduced the rotor size, could you then mount the caliper correctly to the adapter?

It looks like it still works fine, full adjustment is possible when the caliper is mounted in either position. What bad result are you expecting?

The CPS washers need to be mounted on opposite sides of the caliper ears for them to function as designed. There is no movement for misalignment the way they are mounted.

OK, I see, you're right. OP, just get longer bolts and install some washers between the Eccentric Brake Adapter mount and the pivot washer set.
