A LBS near my office has a left over 2005 Jamis Exile for $700. I am going to check it out tonight or tomorrow. From the specs he emailed me the bike seems like a good deal. Though I am a bit worried about the fork as a quick search uncovered many bad reviews

Does anyone have a rough idea what the MSRP was in 2005 for the Exile? I would like to know how much of a discount I am getting on a 2 year old leftover

well x7 will be converted down to x5 for 2007.

forks not that amazing.

I suspect it should be cheaper.

I can get the 13 or 15 inch models online with free shipping no tax.

deal or not it doesn't matter. I just got back from the LBS and the bike is way to big for me. I guess a Jamis 19" runs bigger than most. I am just over 6'-0" tall and every bike I have owned since I was 18 has been a 19"er. My current Schwinn Moab is a 19.5"
