I posted the same question in bikeforums.net with zero replies. Is there any good riding in or near Wainwright Alberta?

i'll reply....not sure you'll meet any mtbr's from wainwright on these forums either. road biking is probably great out there it would be beautiful riding....can you ride on the CFB land?

I'm not sure what is available around Wainwright, but there are trails around Elk Island and Blackfoot Rec Area if you head towards Edmonton. It's just under 200km to both of those areas. It may not be fantastic riding, but it's better than cruising through a wheat field

yeah, its great...if you like flat pavement. ;D naww, i dunno either, i lived in edm. for a while but the lack of steeps made me sad, so i moved.
