Hi.
First of all I fixed the compressed dropout as was suggested here and all is well. My thanks for that.

I thought I would ask about a weight limit for this bike (RX1). I am 94Kg (~207lbs) and I ride with a backpack with 3 liters of water (and stuff). so I would put the total weight on the bike at close to 100Kg (~220lbs).

Am I too heavy?

Dude, I am 235 + gear and what you have to worry about is your wheels breaking spokes. If you have a good wheel set don't worry.I started on my Giant VT2 with Mavic 227's or something like that and breaking spokes were a weekly thing, went to DT Swiss 4.2's and that went away. Now I have 29" Industry Nine's with Stans Flows on my Custom Fireline Exogrid and they seem rock solid. Your RX1 bike should handle anything you can push out and just read the FOX manual about the shock setup, stick to it and you should be fine.

I have Mavic crossrides on the RX. I am not likely to abuse them too much, so I hope all will be well.

IF anything, you may look into a burlier bike like the ML, which can be set up at 4" and it's built with extra beef... but that is only if you feel any frame flex.

Agreed Dog... wheelset will play a much larger role. Maybe you won't break the spokes or bend rims, but a wimpy wheelset will not hold a line as good as a stiffer one making the bike feel like shizzle.

A buddy of mine (rzoz) had some Mavics also (crossrides too??) on his ML and felt a definitive improvement when he went for XT's laced to XM819's... he's big and around your same weight. His ML lived very happily with no issues for the time he kept it. Now he rides an Endorphin, the infidel.

Actually, I had the Crosslands, I don't know the diff between them and the crossrides. Unless the spokes of the crossrides are stronger that the crosslands, I would consider switching the wheels to a 32 spoke wheelset. Other than that, the bike should be pretty tough as long as you use it for the intended purpose.

We don't actually publish a maximum rider weight. We have found that rider weight has a bigger impact on wheels than it does frames. Frame failures tend to be less a matter of actual rider weight than the peak loads experienced. So riding style contributes more to frame failure than weight. Do you break a lot of frames? If you do then it's likely something related to riding style than of frame durability.
