Another newb question. Is there a standard size hub for 26" mountain bike wheels? If so, what is it? How do I find out what size mine is/where do I measure? Does the hub size need to be taken into consideration when getting a new fork? Thanks!
For a front fork, hub sizes are pretty standard. They are usually 110mm in width and can either take a 9mm axle or a 20mm axle(depending on fork).
Hub size only needs to be taken into consideration when you buy a new fork that does not use the same type of drop-outs as the one you have now. For exemple, when switching from a fork that has quick-release drop-outs, to one that has 20mm through axle drop-outs.
