I was wondering if i could use my Moots 26.8 seatpost in my new frame that uses a 27.2mm seat post. I know that someone makes shims but not sure who or where to get one. Thanks for info.

i haven't found one quite that small (problem solvers has a 0.6mm shim). It would be good to know if somone's got a proper shim for this application.

I have used a soda can shim successfully in such an operation.

That jump is too small for a shim. You need a fairly sizable jump in size so you can actually make something thats thicker than aluminium foil to go all the way around. You can try with a piece of a soda can but save yourself the headache and get the right size.
