How did it escalate from the April 24th post? Seems you had the CC company withdraw the authorization. Did they not do so?Edit, website is fake as can be. Took 11k from me and I'm disputing it with Capitol One now.
I checked my CC statement sometime around the 24th, and the pending charge was gone. It must have been some odd time between when it wasn't pending or cleared. My wife was doing the CC bill and the charges was back as a cleared charge. The CC company took the money back from the vendor. However, if the thief challenges the charge retraction, I will essentially have to prove my case against his and it could be along drawn out dispute and there's no guarantee the dispute will go in my favor.
