i want to run 32/something and 44/something with one chain length. i'm fed up with completely trashing an already wrecked derailleur two days in row.

its on a trek 9.9. would i need a tensioner? and will the rear jump down?

you can but i dont think there is a cog big enough to go along with that 32 when you move the chain off the 44 and then of course theres the spacing problem. there is always a thing called the sturmey archer 3 speed hub.

i should be able to get a difference of 12 teeth in the rear. all i want to use is the 32 and 44. 3x9 are supposed to be able to run out of line.
