I've had knee issues for the last six months and I'm finally going in for an MRI this Monday. I can train hard on the road for about 20 minutes, then feel a strong discomfort / heat on the inside of my right knee. Recreational trail riding is easier on the knees... but same problem occurs after about an hour. Should I stay off the bike this weekend in order to allow a better view of the knee, or is riding ok / better?

I've had my cleats adjusted, but I'm not convinced that's not part of the problem. I've been running new TIME Atacs, with some float, but might consider somethign with more float. However, one fitter suggested I had too much float, causing my knee to wander excessively.

I'm also very sensitive to the type of shoe I wear (non bike issue).

Any suggestions welcome...
