Ok, so my buddies and I are going to Moab from the 26th to May 1. I keep checking the weather as the days approach, and weather.com says that there'll be rain/light showers pretty much the entire week.

Are Moab weather reports reliable? And if so, does rain tend to hang around or is it more like isolated, short squalls?

Anyone in the know, please allay (or compound) my fears...

I've been to Moab in both spring and fall over the years and spring weather is the most unpredictable. We just returned from Moab a few weeks ago, and the weather forcast called for rain almost every day. I couldn't believe how empty some of the campgrounds were. But we never got more than a few drops on us. It rained hard in places and missed others, we just timed our rides around the storms, and got lucky. To make a long story short, even if it rains it probably won't rain all day, every day. Just plan your rides to miss the rain and mud. Remember the rain helps some of the more sandy rides to make them more fun. Good luck and have fun!!
