Is Hansen Ridge snow free yet?

Seems a bit early, but hoping this hot weather has helped. I'm skipping work in the morning, hoping to head there tomorrow.

If Snoqualmie Pass still has snow on the ground, Hansen Ridge very likely does too. But give it a shot and let us know! After all, someone *has* to be first to try it. ;)

I'd love to know too. There is a Primo time for Hansen when there is stil la little snow, but the trail is clear, soft and grippy. It turns to moon dust real quick though!

Decided I could use an outing; threw the kids in the car and drove up to check things out. Actually passed Ken heading up as I was heading down

Anyways, I hit snow at 2692' on NF-5510. N47 22.062 W121 30.626

It was the compact icy crap and I was starting to drag, so given the kids and no second vehicle, I just stopped and turned around.

Returning in 2 weeks

Great running into you Nuzzy! Shawna and I had a fun but short ride due to the snow. It was fun to push through snow patches going up, and ride through them on the way down.

I think what I'll do is park at Annette Lake TH next time, in 2 weeks. Then, just ride up the road so I get some climbing in. I hope the trails clear in 3-4 weeks, will hope for sooner.

Anyone been up there yet? I would think with all the dry weather the trail would be clear.

Was thinking that too. Get there before it's too hot.... I did hear from Glenn that there will be more work being done on it during the short summer window so that's good too.

We decided to give it a go on Sunday. Hopefully it is a bit cooler up there!

Every time I have ridden Hansen Ridge in hot weather, it has been scorching up there too. It is wide open and the granite reflects sunlight and holds heat. Go early or go late with lights!
