I live in South East Asia and brands here for sale are very limited. Not much of choices. However, there are some brands that is being sold occasionally at our local shop and one of them is Evil.

Any feedback on this brand? How's the frame? Riding feel? etc ... ?

Where is it made?

What is your model recommendation for trail/enduro riding?

Yes. Very good brand based in Washington. Personally I like the Insurgent cause of the 27.5" wheels (also available in mullet style). My second choice would be the Offering, which has 29" wheels if that's your preference.

But yeah, most Evil owners I've talked to (mostly on the chair lift at a bike park) have nothing but good things to say about them.

Two years and over 3k miles on my Evil Calling. Zero complaints, most fun bike I’ve ever owned.

YouTuber Vancan has broken one front triangle and 2 rear triangles on the reckoning in a year…. Just posted a video on it…. So I would say avoid evil…

Just search Vancan on YouTube( his name is Nick). He is a north shore rider, rides the crazy trails around Vancouver BC. Broke the front triangle on a gee out at the water bottle mounts and both rear triangles failed on the chain stays.

I just watched that and read the comments. I know it used to be an issue, but I thought they cleaned that up. Guess not. And I'm not buying that "bad batch" nonsense. One time ok. Twice maybe I'll consider a coincidence. Three times? No way! Too many good brands to take that kinda risk.

Oh no.. I almost pulled the trigger yesterday.

I guess I have to stay with 2022 Polygon alu for a time being. I really like the looks of Evil frame though. It looks like a DH bike.
I'm sure you would be fine with an Evil on the home trails that you posted in the other thread. For what it's worth, there are numerous Evils here in the Pacific Northwest. I see them all over. I have one, my friends have them, and we all ride them really hard (we just don't have YouTube channels). NONE of our bikes have broken, and I haven't heard of any epidemic of frame failures. Keep in mind that VanCan is just one guy, and if you watch his channel you can see if his riding aggressiveness matches your riding aggressiveness.

Just because one guy broke multiple frames means nothing. Every brand has frames breaking. What matters more is if they stand behind their frames or not. Which Evil clearly does and mr YouTube evens mentions that fact multiple times. Also, some people ride like complete ogre’s and just constantly break ****.

Since 1989 I have broken 2 alloy frames and 3 carbon frames. The alloys were stress fracture’s and the carbon bikes were impact brakes(rock strikes). For me, a carbon frame to fail because of gee out, that frame is under designed. JMO

Got 1200 Miles on my V2 offering and it's been through hell and back. No worse for wear outside of basic maintenance. I find it comical when people wig out over this stuff. Even if it did break, which happens to the best of them, the company has your back.

Multiple manufacturing industries took a hit world wide in quality control during the pandemic. For bike frames, that means the layup process. That's a fact that can be found doing some basic research. Has nothing to do with the engineering side of the house. Evils are Designed like tanks and have the weight to bare proof for a carbon bike.
