I'm taking that you've done WP before? I've never been there on an MTB...just going by on other trips. Is it really a good riding venue? I ride a Nomad and like fairly challenging terrain...the down more than the up, though I've done plenty of both. A trail like Porc Rim, Moab is one of my favorites. I'm not some crazy, jump-off-the-cliff type, but I like some technical challenge for sure. No one from my area has ridden this place. It sounds good on their website, but I would expect nothing less. Nice pics, as usual.

Nice Migz. If those are where I think they are, we're planning on riding the East side of that on the 4th. Have fun in WP!
TNC, there's some really good riding in WP. They've built some gnarlier dh trails on the mountain recently I hear, but I haven't seen them. Most of the riding around there, though, may make the Nomad seem like overkill. Then again, I'm on an Intense 6.6 and I'd bring it
. Think fun and swoopy, good singletracks connected via jeep roads. Sol Vista has some spectacular singletrack as well and is only 20 or so minutes N of WP.

There's some good technical riding there, but I also go there due to proximity, and because my sister's there. The best tech stuff I've found up there has been just riding around, and following random spurs until I find something I like, but in no way would I describe the area as a technical mecca. I'm actually looking foward to some smooth trails myself , as I've been getting plenty of tech. riding lately

calling front rangers
Thanks Ignaz, Planning on riding over divide 7/14/06 w/ sleeping bag/lights, and dropping into WP in cover of darkness if you, or any other front rangers care to join. Planning on riding back over late sat., or early Sun. Hopefully we wont see too many polar bears

The rigid fork on Lou's paragon is a IRD. I bought it as a backup, while another rigid fork of mine was being repaired, and now he's using it. The sus fork on my x-caliber is a reba.
