Hey,
What do you listen to before a ride ? Like on the way ?
For me, it depends on the bike I'm taking. So, everyone let me know.
For me,
The 5.5 = A long way to the top ( if you wanna rock n roll ) - AC/ DC
The Uzzi = Revolution is my name - Pantera
Check in y'all
Rick.

I'm usually not listening to music before I ride, but if I am it's either the Replacements, Pavement or AC/DC. Unfortunately, I usually have a gawdawful song going through my head when I'm riding, particularly when I'm climbing. Something along the lines of "the kid is hot tonight" by freaking loverboy. That song just won't leave me alone. I need help.

Gotta admit, her new rockier edgier sound is nice esp in a pop-blonde world that she stepped out of.

All depends on the Mood and Energy level!

For high energy and great flow try old Van Halen- Fair Warning, Van Halen I & II :D
If you like old VH you must try these out on some single track.

For some bells out music try Iron Maiden, AD/DC :p

The Pixies,.mostly the concert from Red Rocks this summer (Duh).
This weekend I was grooving on The Roots.
I usually gravitate towards something more groovy, like Curtis Mayfield, or Greyboy...

When I pull off some spectacular move I get that line from the Beastie Boys in my head, "I got the flow where I grab my d1ck and say 'oh my God that's the funky sh1t!!'"

Rick, tell your son my favorite Mudvayne album is their first, L.D.50. Their best song "Dig" is on that album. I also like Lost and Found.

Here's a sampling of what I listened to on my mp3 player when riding most of last summer:

^If you wanna go fast on the downhill, I suggest this album

Listened to Slayer Reign in Blood on the way to my last ride (I was feeling nastalgic I guess). Ironically, while riding, I had Dwight Yoakum "1,000 miles from nowhere" going through my head. I guess there is some balance in the universe. :D

Lately it's been Sepultura, Smashing Pumpkins, Audio Slave, Dr Dre with various others, and ocassionally I have to get the Led out.

That would be Dimebag Darrel Abbot, the best metal guitarist that ever lived.
And VooDoo Child is another great drop song.
And thanks to everyone that is responding to this, I will be listening to some new stuff next ride.
Keep it coming.
Rick.
