Looking for clipless shoe recommendation for WIDE feet at a reasonable price.

Sub $150 to fit someone who normally wears a size 12 EEEE in New Balance running shoes.

Check out Lake shoes to see if they have anything in your price range. They probably offer the widest shoes on the market and they are great shoes as well.

Try sandals, they tend to flex for wider feet.

Keen makes some for speed clips.

Yeah... I just can't see sandals for mountain biking, especially races.

$150 shouldn't be too hard to find a decent pair of shoes...might be worth going to a shop and trying on some different brands.

That said, I've heard Lake is a good brand for wider feet.

I have (pretty) wide feet and I tried some lakes in their wide designation.

They were very wide! Much more than I needed.

I ended up with some LG shoes and they fit great.
