Okay pmrider and I went to Woodward last night. I'll spare you the boring, rehashed details, but did want to let everyone know about the bike hours.

Bikes are allowed at any time now. There is a time slot on Sunday's that allows ONLY bikes.

We're free to go anytime!... and I will!

I called and talked to a real person. The hours in the recording are old. The official hours for bikes is from 8-10 every night.
Which is why that place sucks. Not only does it have zero flow, but it's overpriced and snobbish. I think it's funny that in a state like CO that has so many sick concrete parks that allow bikes, that a sh!t indoor wood park has bike rules. FU woodward. Oh, and FU woodward at copper.

I'm curious what the least crowded night is for bikes? I want to take my kid to get some fun in during the winter and he is a little fella. I don't want him to get crunched.

Thanks, Ink
That's a hard call. The holiday's were crazy with kids. I heard that it was a ghost town New Years day. I was there last night (weeknight) and it was a light night. So I'd guess that Mondays & Tuesdays are light (Call and ask). That said, you have to be very aware of where you're riding, and the lines riders/skate boarders are taking before you cross over to certain areas. Just stick with him and head toward the back area. Watch for the first 15 minutes to get a feel of how riders and skate boarders flow. You will get skate boards flying all over the place, and BMX riders that can't stop (99% of them don't use brakes)... but if you know where to hang out, you'll be fine.

A friend of mine took his 5 year old there on a quieter night (weeknight) and had a great time. He pretty much rode next to him all the time.

Thanks IE,

My kid does pretty well and knows to keep a look out. We hit various outdoor parks around and the bmx track off c-470 during the summer. I will get him a geared bike this summer so he can do better on singletrack climbs. Currently he is on a 16" wheeled Eastern Trail Digger and I have an old Haro cruiser 24".

Thanks for the info, hopefully we will see you in there soon.
