Don't know about rentals, but El Prieto is close to Pasadena. There are a lot of great trails around El Prieto. That one is just the tip of the iceberg.

Hey, i was wondering if there are any bike rentals in the LA area. Also where is the El Prieto trail?

Ya, but I don't frequent that area, except to ride. Search the soCal threads, I think I saw someone asking the same question about rentals for that area of SoCal.
"LA" is kind of big. What area in LA? Where will you be staying?
What days can you ride? How much time do you plan to devote to the excursion? (driving time, and ride time)
