Coming up on April 12th, Anthracite Mountain Pedalers will be hosting the Subaru / IMBA Trail Care Crew at Frances Slocum State Park near Wilkes-Barre, PA. The main event is the Saturday trail building school. There is also a Thursday night Club Care Discussion, and a Friday Land Manager Training presentation.

Subaru / IMBA Trail Building School
The International Mountain Bicycling Association will lead its Trail Building School, which teaches IMBA's philosophies and trains local volunteers and land managers how to build and maintain sustainable, fun singletrack. The school involves three hours in the classroom followed by about four hours in the field doing hands-on trail work and field instruction.

Also SAMBA is hosting the crew the previous week, April 5th. So if you want to catch the Trail Care Crew in Central PA, they are your ticket.

I participated in this when they had it at Moosic Mountain and thought it was an excellent program. No matter how much you think you know, there is ALWAYS more you can learn. I'll definitely be going again.

Great news for Chapters who need the advise and training!
If anyone in your chapter is interesting, the Thursday night Club Care Presentation might have some good ideas in it. It should be a little quieter of a setting to get to talk to the trail care crew too.
