I'll see your Nickle Bag and raise a TNT...

More franken-bike action in the bike lab tonight.

I've always wanted a 5 Spot but was never sure it was right bike for my riding style. So...I bought a Joker and then a Moment. Nice but not really what I wanted. Looked at a few used RFX frames but wasn't really sure I wanted a used $1000+ frame someone hucked off grandma's roof.:D Along comes the 6 Pack. Very sweet but IMO it could use a slightly lower compression ratio so shock set-up was a little more versatile (like on the 2.66:1 Moment). A 7.875x2.25 shock won't fit in my small frame and I don't have the ability to design or make my own rockers. Now, about that 5" travel part and a 2.5:1 ratio.

Items on the menu for tonight:
Swap pack rocker to a 5" RFX rocker
Swap HL rear to a TNT rear
Swap Blue Grooves for the Nevegals
Edit Forgot this: Install new cranks

Build friends "new" 02 RFX

The TNT rear end has a very slighty lighter cruve than the the HL, probably why the homer testers have felt as if the TNT is plusher than the HL bikes, (words from DT at IB) so perhaps this will make your Pack feel plusher if you can run a softer spring or less air?

I would definetely build up the 02, then buy new cranks while I was waiting for my TNT parts :D
Uh oh...

Here we go again...

I'm starting to think time travel will be an eventuality for the Turner frankenbunch.

Just make sure you reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.

polarity of the neutron flow has been reversed....

1. The TNT version of Cactuscorn's SPaaNB.
2. 6 Pack vs 5" RFX rockers
3. L - RFX, S - Pack, XS - XCE

Yea, thanks for selling Rick the RFX Boone. He has done in 5 frames in the last few years so he is really hoping that the RFX lasts for a while. It's a good thing it is that tall as he is a tall dude. Look at the post sticking out of that thing!!! It hits me in the armpit. We doctored (dremeled) the Saber back into riding shape so it can be sold.
