I believe that a certain amount ($17 out of the $25) actually goes to the the organization the plate represents.DonRastafari said:The problem is once the state gets the money, there is no guarantee they will use it as intended. We now have to pay $25 a year to register our offroad motorcycles with the intention/promise of using the money to improve riding areas, but as far as I know, they are now using the money for "general fund".
