Hey all,

I'm hunting for ideas for a one or two night bike camping trip. Something with either XC type mountain bike trails to fire roads. My group has mountain bikes and most of us have a gravel bike or hardtail 29er, etc.

I'm having trouble finding routes/plans. Any suggestions? Preferably in southern VT/NH. Thanks

Bear Brook in NH fits your criteria. State Parks with Camping and Trails is such a great option to take advantage of.

That'd be a great route, but looks like its more hiking oriented. Prob too tough on bikes for a long distance. I think we'd lean more toward something even gravel bikeable. Thanks

That'd be perfect for biking while camping. Which is pretty much what i described. I think our plans of changed more to something without tent camping and more long distance riding on a smoother path. For example:

Ride a gravel/fireroad/XC type path for a good 6hrs or so
Get to destination that's more like a house or hotel or cabin
Either do another long travel ride or maybe mix it up with mountain bike trails/park
Stay at same destination or new one depending
Drive home.

We'll have a few people who don't ride bikes that will drive along and do other stuff during the day.

You could do a portion of this, find am Air B&B or campground, and then return. It's mostly gravel, bike paths, and short sections of class iv.
