If you could get either of these in 29" for similar price, which would you get and why?

Looking for strong and reliable wheels. Like them both. I9 is only 50g heavier. Riding trail/aggressive trail. I've broken various parts on wheels before. I weigh 220 ready to ride

I'd get the Synthesis Hydra. In fact, that's what I did.

There are some reviews here - quick search should answer some questions.

The ride quality of Synthesis is pretty unique and the lifetime rim warranty doesn't suck
