I want a frame to match my travis, any ideas?

I've recently come into some cash (graduating high school has its benefits) and I'm looking to move up in the world bike wise. I want something like the specialized SX trail, but I can't find those frames anywhere. And I want a frame that will feel more at home with my travis 150. any ideas? I'm thinking 6 inches of travel or so in the rear.

Why don't you have your LBS order a sxtrail?
If they aren't a Specialized dealer, try ordering from Specialized direct, or look on ebay.

EDIT: I wouldn't buy a frame to match a fork, unless it was something like a 888RC2X or Fox 40 (nice is what I'm going for here), don't sacrifice your frame choice for a Manitou fork, if anything, buy the frame you want and if the Manitou doesn't feel right, sell it and buy a different fork.

because I don't have $1700 to drop on an 06 frame, and the 05s aren't available anymore.

I'm just not feelin the 10 inches in the rear and the 6 up front. is the bullit Dh capable? problem is I love drops, and am worried about the bullit there.

Have you called and asked if they had any 05 left in the factory? If so they may hook you up.
My roommate was looking real hard for a SX Trail and found a few on our local Craigslist.org, Pinkbike.com, and Ebay.com.
I know Bicycle Warehouse here in San Diego has a few 05 Enduros and I think I saw an SX Trail in there, not sure though. I'm sure if you contacted them they'd be happy to sell you one and ship it.

Check our pinkbike right now, I think I saw a complete going for $1100, buy it and part out the thing.

my lbs called spec and from what they told me they don't have any more 05's. I'll check more, but for now, I found a similar, but much cheaper option. the transition bottlerocket.

Thoes look like NICE bikes. Plus you get to support a smaller bike co. as opposed to a HUGE bike co.
For the money I'd rock the bottlerocket.

Check out the older superhero's movies. You cant go wrong with a bullit when it comes to going big. I dont ride one myself but have plenty of time on them from riding my buds. Just because it isn't the newest design doesn't mean it isn't built to take a beating. Bullit's were basically the go to bike during the early freeride years plus you can get a used one with a good build for about a grand

Ever watch an FR vid? Bullits have hit everything - the question is whether other bikes are up to it.

I DH on mine and am still going strong as I see shattered chainstays and so on on pure DH bikes.. Yep - it can take it.

Hey, I'm a happy Bullit rider too. Yes, a Bullit will work, if you are on a tight budget then maybe its a good move, but there are way better (stiffer) options out there.
