Apparently this place has a rep. Not sure how old this is, but apparently someone here rustled someone's jimmies. Looking for reviews on Pogies and stumbled on this.

MICHELLE STAMPE
The Ultimate Pogie Guide
* Full disclosure: the ladies at ShredWorthy haven’t had personal experience with each and every one of these pogies (hopefully someday we will), but we have scoured the internet to compare user reviews with brand specs. We even braved MTBR fatbiking forums, which as you may have noticed, is mostly populated by overweight, passive aggressive straight men in the midst of midlife crisis mansplaining to each other and complaining about their wives. Yeah, it was scary, and yeah, it required a lot of wine. So, if you will, please get stoked to learn way too much about pogie options without the added misery of spousal complaints!

They forgot, obsessed with defending their beliefs that their consumer direct dumpster fodder BSO's are every bit equal to actual brand name offerings.

Basically, the very embodiment of the joke about why women make such bad carpenters (because they've been told their entire life that this, - is indeed, six inches....).

Wait, does this only apply to the fat bike forum?
Correct. The young and old men gather in the e-bike forum to argue about whether or not it's really biking. The young men don't have wives and the old men go biking and ignore theirs, so neither one really does much to offend a women's biking community.

Wait, theres's a women's biking community?

Just kidding ;)

It's no surprise that MTBR would be seen as a white male dominated social media forum and it's probably accurate to say that many participants are more active online than they are on the trails.

Prettty funny stuff, nothing like getting called out on your shite!

Okay, so a funny story from waaay back when Telemark Tips was alive and well:

I went skiing in Vermont and planned to meet a very prolific poster on that forum. Based on his posting history, I expected a healthy and talented skier, but what I met was an overweight middle aged guy who not only didn't telemark but could barely alpine ski.

This ^ may be the case for many folks on this forum, sadly.

LMAO! Kudos to Michelle (the author)! Very on the nose.

If you need specific examples, visit the Women's Lounge sometime. Lots of cliches being posted or commented on by men there...even though its specifically for females.
