I this the correct spoke length?

Hey,

I used the Dtswiss spoke calculator and I just wanted to dbl check the lengths. I am using a sun cr-18 29er rim and the Chris king ISO rear hub building 3 cross. The calculations I got was left side=246, and the right length was 245mm. Is this even close?
thanks for any help you can give me.

Not even close! and I do not have to even look. The lengths should be in the 290-300 range. Check your rim spec again.

I'm coming up with 260.95 (261) drive side and 259.34 (260) disc side. CX-Ray's come in even lengths so probably 260 & 262. The only potential problem there is that I've built several sets of 5.1's and I'm finding the numbers that spoke calc programs are giving me are a touch on the long side. I've now been rounding down on most of my builds with those. So, that 262 length may be cutting it close, but you'll probably be o.k. The alternative of course is rounding down to 258/260, that may be cutting it close on the short side but my gut feeling is that with 14mm nipples you wouldn't end up with any exposed threads.

Thx Larry

I ordered 258 and 260, I also had checked dtswiss spoke calculator and used dtswiss aerolite (the same type as cx-ray's) and it came up with 258 and 260

and now I only have to wait for them, damn... :)

cheers
