can iny one give me some info how to get to the top to the trail head? i heard lost of talk on how the trail is pretty bomb and the best trail in santa clarita

It used to be fun until they graded it during the fires. I heard it's rideable now but not what it used to be. Good luck finding your way out at the bottom.

A few months ago I look from the top, could see dozer swiped the top part, didn't go down tho, continued to LosP... Wonder if they graded those steep rutted sections.. ?

Just keep riding down & follow the oil trail that goes under the freeway ...

its getting really good now. its fast and pretty smooth. still gotta watch for a few ruts and waterbars, but its a fun ride! may be there friday morn.....

I heard some talk about how its geting overgrown in some spots.if iny has rode it lately and can tell me how it is?

rode it tues. its a good ride. the only overgrown areas are at the very bottom, where you could get lost.
when you get to some bobwire fence, go left and thru a gap in the fence. you can see the trail, but the grass is real tall there. turns kinda technical and rocky, but it drops you down to the "river", then go right to the ranger station.

It got a little rain last nite, nice and grippy today.

here's better directions for the bottom: when you can see faint rocky doubletrack you will see barbwire on both sides of the trail. soon it becomes only barbwire on the LH side. AS SOON as the fence turns left, go left also, maybe 20 yards up there is a gap in the fence, go thru and pick out the ST down the hill.
ran four bikes thru today, you should be able to figure it out......scott
