Howdy all,

I have a 2019 Merida e160 800 which came with Shimano m7000 2 pot brakes, on 203 rotors front and rear.

I also have a rear left hand lever set of Hope Tech 3 v4's took them off a previous bike before I sold it.

Problems is that the v4's don't fit within the rear triangle of my 160 😐😢. I would like a little more braking power. Any suggestions for significant brake power upgrades for under 200ish AUD?

Oh and you can't get Hope Tech 3 x2's - right lever in Aus (my original idea)

And one more thing - the current setup seems to hold up pretty decent over a 5km long 466m decent. Well compared to my old avid juicy's from my old 2008 remedy 7.

buy new 4 pot slx calipers to replace the front and metallic pads.

As I expected, pretty much as soon as I posted this thread 1 and only 1 set of Hope Tech 3 X2's (right lever) came back into stock at MTBDirect. 🙃 - Crisis averted
