Two days ago, and 1 year after my first mountain bike ride, I did my first solo endurance race. Ever since I first threw a leg over my bike, riding it just keeps getting better and better. This race was no exception. It was tons of fun! I did the 6 hour solo version of the 12 hours of Oleta, and came in 9th (out of 43). When I signed up for the race I expected it to be six hours of misery. But thanks to the awesome coaching I got from Chris Janiszewski, I was perfectly prepared. I really have to thank Chris, he brought me up from a middle of the pack base class XC rider. I never expected to make a top 10 finish, but he obviously worked some magic with my training. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a coach .

Now I can't wait to do a 12 hour! :D
