Last time it happened, was in March(1999). I took a week in Pheonix that year to watch spring training base ball. Orange blossoms happen in March, in Pheonix. I'm allergic to orange blossoms. You do the math.
It wasn't pretty.

Trees hurt

I made a painful mistake as well. When you're racing dh and it feel like your chain fell off. Don't look down while trying to catch your buddy (try stopping then looking) I peered down looked back up and slammed face first into a small tree, which proceeded to fall in slow motion with me stuck to it and my cannondale stuck to me. Turns out I uprooted the damn thing and luckily rode off with many cuts and scrapes, nothing broken and more importantly the bike was ok.
