oops thought everyone had disk brakes at this point. Yes they're Elixir CR's.

I adjust those things every other ride. I do the clamp down on the brake, loosen caliper bolts and then tighten to center. I've also cleaned the rotor with alcohol a few times.
That usually takes care of the squeaking after a short spin to pump the brakes, quiet.
But after a ride or two they are rubb/squeaking again. The violin music never really goes away though. I'm also hearing a high ptich but faint squeal when pedaling that doens't sound like its coming from the rotor, more like the bb area.
I've got one noisy bike. I wonder if this down to air in the system.

if it goes away when you clean the brakes its the rotors. I just hose mine off after each ride then blow them dry with compressed air. They violin when they are dirty and are quiet after they are cleaned. Just how it is.
