Har! I'm afraid I have no brothers, Christine.
It's trans blue, and I was planning to put a trans red bow on it and have it waiting in the great room for her upon wakening tomorrow. I don't think she knows, but I might've gotten busted coming home for lunch today. I had the bike in the backseat, and she was sitting at the table looking out the window that faces the driveway when I pulled in. The car windows are tinted, so maybe she didn't see. I can hardly keep myself from dragging her out to the garage right now. I can't keep a secret!

Give it to her early, you'll sleep better.

She's out on it right now. It's so funny, she was in shock this morning and didn't quite believe what she was seeing. She could barely look at it, and didn't bring herself to pick it up or throw a leg over until it sat there in the room for about 2 hours! Had to "sneak up on it."

Great gift but...

why are you typing on your computer when your wife is playing with the great gift you got her. Forget MTBR for a while and go riding with her!

Good eye for detail. That derailleur is pretty cool. The bike will have a silver seatpost on it by evening, in case anyone is upset over the stem/post mismatch (maybe just me).
