I have an older Minuora as well and it is adequate. Being an ex-wrench...I got spoiled by the Park Pro Model TS-2 which kicks arse...but is expensive and heavy. The Spin Doctor appears to be the exact same thing as my older Minuora. The new Minuora looks very nice. One thing, you have to remove the tire on a 29er to use the truing stand, it will not work with the tire on. Better anyway to make sure your maintaining radial true. I once worked at a lodge that had the consumer Park model and I didn't like it much.
If you want the new Minuora, Cambria has them for $100 plus you get an extra 25% off right now
