an email from I-9.....The Stan's rubber rim strip will allow you to run any tire tubeless in the AM rim. We have also had some riders who had good luck running the AM rim tubeless with UST or tubeless ready tires (with a tubeless bead) and two to three layers of the 25mm Stan's yellow tape + tubeless valves, but this isn't a guaranteed method as the rims don't have a tubeless profile.
Just get i-9's with flows---same exact weight as their AM wheelset and tubeless works a lot better with Stan's rims. I started out with the AM Wheelset and then had them re-laced to some flows (Same ERD apparently). The Flows are so much better and you can juts run yellow tape for tubeless.
