Huntington St. Park Closing in May -accurate info this time

Huntington State Park in Redding will be closed to the public from May to October for improvements to the dams and other capital improvements. All parking lots will be closed. Any questions call Nate Hale - land manager at Putnam State Park.

Well no...October. Fixed my original post.

Trout Brook should be good this year. There is a TM there this saturday (Trumbull too...) with a lot going on. MTBers have a very good thing going on in there. LM sure does like us!

i've been there recently for some non-biking activities (like a week ago) and besides the pile of rocks taking up 90% of the central parking lot (by the ponds) it seemed like business as usual- plenty of kayakers, hikers and bikers.
