They are not actually trying to turn a profit guys. It's supposed to make a point. I'm no tree hugger, but i've been pushed off the road by soccer moms enough to understand these guys. I personaly would rather spend my money on a bike i would really ride, but hey, to each their own... right?

well actually if it gets a bid they'll be turning a profit, even if the money does get donated, cause there's not likely more than $350 in parts in that thing.

Our SUV was built this spring as a response to the increasing presence of military-style consumer SUVs polluting the air of our walkable city. We grew tired of biking past 6000 pounds of 'over-built', in-your-face over-consumption moving just one overweight American slowly around our town.
Our bike has riden 114 miles around Savannah. It's the same size as those famous yellow mega-SUVs, just a lot more friendly! It has 18 lights for nighttime use, a center console, chrome trim and a bell!

Forget those irresponsible, dangerous and ugly vehicles; get a pedal-powered SUV! It's fun, friendly, attention getting and cheap to maintain! Best of all: no regime change is necessary!

If someone were to actually buy our big bicycle, the money will be used to finance more environmental and auto-independency activism, both in Savannah as well as nationally. We would rather show you how to build your own!

Sounds like fun, but I can't seem to find the chrome trim................. :D :p

That sucks. Its $hitty looking, and not cool. Yes, I know Hummers are polluting the environment, blah, blah, blah, but I like Hummers. How come no one has a problem with Ferraris? They get bad gad mileage too! I also like how they brag about driving it 118 miles. Good job guys. Some people have too much time on their hands. Maybe instead of building that Hummer, they should have been playing online trying to up their post count on MTBR.
