Getting a Ti frame built for my son. He wants to SS next summer but I figure these days why not cover all the bases?

Starting with plenty of clearance for mud or a fatty,

and just in case gears are necessary down the road,

Geez guys, I was just trying to gently coax some info out of Bob and you all went straight for the jugular... :p I would have been happy with a passing comment about the bike coming from Austin or something.

Now that we are being forward here...PLEASE LET IT BE WES...PRETTY PLEASE...

Oh yea...AND LET IT NOT BE A ONE TIME DEAL...

2006 is going to be a good year for the us bigwheelers...I can feel it in my bones!

There's more pretty bikes than one.....

Although I have heard that Wes is gearing back up again down in Austin this is not his work.

In fact it is a few steps better for my simple needs. I was able with some help from a friend, thanks Mike, to get the geometry needed without any attitude or hassle and the builder was more than willing to build to those specs, once again 'tude free. It will be about 8 weeks from deposit to final payment instead of 8 months also.

To answer Lanpope's question, Paragon dropouts.

On to the milling machine!

I have an idea but am keeping it on the QT.
Based on what I know of your stable, I have an idea too. And if it is so, using those Paragon (geared & disc compatible) dropouts would be a huge development for those who have not considered one his frames for various reasons. But the 8 week lead time thing is throwing me off. There's probably something I don't know about your stable though...

Going to throw out a guess

Could it by any chance be the guy who used to build under the Sofa King name?

What's the new name of his company now? Something religious, but I can't remember the exact name.

Just a guess though.

Great thread, BigWheel!

I am waiting with baited breath to find out two things:
1. who the builder of your son's frame is
2. when, how, what, etc., is in the plans for Wes' gearing up...
