hey guys, bit of a novice on wheels here, but my current mtb has a FH-RM35 hub on the rear which is completely goosed, i have given up trying to find a new RM35 as they seem to be non-existent. anyway my bike shop advised that a deore 595 would be a good replacement as the flanges are the same however when i have looked the axle seems to be 135mm as apposed to the RM35's 146mm. so if that is the case then surely this is not a good solution, any advice? Guidance? its a 32 hole hub.

Unless there is a new axle standard, 146mm does not exist. You are probably measuring from the outside of the axle ends. If you measure from where the dropouts are on your bike you will probably find its 135
146mm is the total width of a 135mm spaced hub axle.
