how's kettle late march early april

Last year was very unusual though. I was riding dry local trails in March, and I don't ever remember being able to do that before.
You can't really expect to ride in early April, so don't make any firm plans. But over the years, there has been a fair amount of very good riding in April. You just have to wait and see.
