I purchased my goblin back in May of this year and it has the Reba RL on it. I'm looking at the Reba solo air parts lists from the SRAM website list and some of the parts have a note that says they are not compatible with pre2014 models.

Is there any way to know what year my shock is?

With so much cross over with model years usually fork companies can tell you model year by serial number. Most of the suspension forks dont change every year, like bikes, and only change colors and stickers. If you are concerned give ol' SRAM a call and have your serial number handy. They can give you a production year and let you know what upgrades/service you can do to your fork.

On the back of the crown is a serial number. The number after the first letter is supposedly the year of the fork. So, for the fork above would be a 2012 fork. If there was a 3 after the letter it would be a 2013 fork and so on. I am going to email SRAM to verify before ordering parts, but if my serial number has a 3 or 4 after the letter I'll feel good about the info.

Here is a link to the 2013 fork manual - 2013 Reba
Yea I found that manual a few weeks ago and have it printed out. Thanks man.

My serial number 23T30819635. I'm having trouble finding an email contact for Rockshox / SRAM to ask them about this shock. Specifically, I need to know what year the shock is and if its A2, A3, etc...

Does anybody know the email or number for them?

Have you tried their phone number? Phone: +1-312-664-8800

I picked that up from their website.

I called that number and they gave me another number in case anybody ever needs it. 1-800-346-2928. I was pretty impressed that somebody actually picked up after only waiting a few seconds and they were definitely local. Anyways, I gave them my serial number and they told me that the 3 after the T means my shock was manufactured in 2013, but is considered to be a 2014 model when trying to find parts for the shock.

Thank you for the new number! It is very common for it to be manufactured in 2013 for the 2014 model year. Bike companies that follow model years actually start to make next model year bikes back in May/June. (ie May/June 2014 for model year 2015) Thankfully Airborne doesn't follow that silly trend.
